Jack Greeley-Ward (b.1989, London) earned a BA from the University of the Arts, London in 2012. His work displays his fascination with instilling life into inanimate objects. By withdrawing or altering the implicit context, he plays with our expectations of an object: its story, place or character to infer new meanings. He introduces a new perspective for the audience to consider, making the absurdity of our own reality clear. His work is often irreverent, anarchic, curious and experimental.

Working across animation, drawing, painting and sound. Greeley-ward generates abstract retelling of the fictional, observed happenings and lost memories. A keen observer of the objective, physical world, also an explorer of the inner world as he shows autobiographical tendencies. Greeley-wards work ponders the nature of truth; recounting stories of love, joy and sadness in the contemporary time. There is no aim to recreate specific or immediately recognisable scenes, preferring instead to leave their significance open to interpretation, providing a space for a moment of reflection.
